Study On Informatization Planning Process Analysis And Management

Using information technology to improve enterprise operating efficiency and management is undoubted in today's competitive market, and people now concern how to achieve this effect. Informatization planning helps business and information system functions communicate better by a series of systematic and standard steps and finally accomplish the goal that is to increase enterprise's competencies.Begins with requirement of informatization planning, the paper then introduces the planning process that consists four phases– preparation, business strategic planning, information systems strategic planning and information technology implementation planning, which are discussed in more detail afterwards, including their plan principles, practical ways and results.In preparation phase, group organization and responsibility arrangement is built, core questions during planning process are developed, communication plan and document formats are designed, which are the base of a successful plan; In the business strategic plan phase, the business strategic plan is developed with the understanding and analysis of the business situation; In the information systems strategic plan phase, the plan is developed also depending on the understanding of the information systems situation and combination between it and business strategic; In the information technology implementation plan phase, detailed application systems projects are identified, their risks are assessed and concerning avoiding methods are planned. The paper also provides suggestions to the following project implementation process - an important factor to the informatization's success.In addition, the paper analyzes the relationship between planning and modeling and gets the conclusion that they support each other to drive the enterprise to move forward continually. Afterwards, the informatization planning process management is realized basically by the usage of user management tools and document management tools in the integrated enterprise modeling environment. At the end of the paper, summary is made and demands to the tools are put forward from the standpoint of the planning work.
