This paper presents the design of a system with FPGA as the core of the real-time video image acquisition and storage and network transmission and display. Verilog programming design of modular configuration for A/D video decoding, video image acquisition logic control and image storage logic control module. First summarized the research status and development trend of network video transmission related to the system, introduces the related technology used to the overall design and the design process of this system, and then introduced the design of each functional module division and top-down under FPGA platform. Image format for this system is PAL; the output is a ITU-656 gray level digital video stream. The pixel clock is 13.5MHz.The image size is 360*288, frame rate up to 25frame/s.The system power supply is AC 220 V DC 12 V.The experimental results show that, the system has the advantages of small volume, high efficiency, low cost and strong real-time, high integration, access data fast, easy to expand. It can be widely used in video processing system, security monitoring system and video transmission system.
