Radar technologies has been developing rapidly for the past few decades, along with the emerging of innumerous advanced radar models also arises the ascending difficulty of debugg ing and field testing, and the ascending expense of both human and material resources. Under such circumstances, radar simulator technologies came into being and has been evolving swift ly ever since, which brings significant convenient means for radar debugging. The design and implementation methodologies of Target Track Simulator for radar systems, a recent radar si mulator technology, are the main focus of discussion in this thesis. The discussion is divided i nto two sections, ARM software design and PC controller design. As initial efforts, we provided the modeling of two-dimensional surface track and three-d imensional space track of the target under study, with the corresponding basic and complex st ate equations. Meanwhile, a case study is taken under discussion where we analyzed no-cross track based on the requirement of hardware. Further, we provided the design diagram for simu lator along with the elaboration of ARM software design, emphasizing the construction, under μC/OS-Ⅱ operating system, of multi-task framework for the implementation of simulator’s o verall functionalities. Given a fully established framework, we explained the development of PC controller, emphasizing the data communication and real-time track display methods. Fina lly, in retrospect, we looked at the setbacks during the development of the simulator, and fully demonstrated the correctness of cascading system output, which matches the initial expectati on of our Target Track Simulator.
