The radar target simulator is a kind of signal generator used to debug the subsystems of radar signal reception and processing. It is usually used for simulating radar echos which contain the information of radar targets and surroundings.In this thesis, we firstly introduce the radar simulator system architecture. Then the radar echo models and their realization methods are analysised, especially on the principle of the radar target simulator. Finally, the scheme of the RF receiving/ transmitting system of the radar target simulator is presented based on the special requirements of a radar system. According to the scheme, we have accomplished the design and the realization of a mixer, a quadrature modulator/demodulator, a low noise amplifer, a high gain amplifer, a high frequency power amplifer and a frequency converter. |
