Software Definition Radio technology has been widely used in signal intelligence, military radio, radar and electronic warfare systems. The 4th generation of mobile communication base stations and telecom network equipments also use the Software Definition Radio architecture. Hardware system based on CPCI standard has five nines(99.999%) reliability and good scalability. In the world, have emerged a number of mature Software Definition Radio systems based on CPCI standard.However, these general hardware platforms, seldom in monolithic CPCI boards to realize signal acquisition, real-time signal processing and embedded system development. To a certain extent not suitable for the need of teaching and scientific research. In addition, with the current device performance improvement and transmission bus technology development, make more idealistic development platform in software radio with the feasibility of technical.Therefore, this paper introduces the design of the general hardware platform based on hardware platform plan, the dual-core PPC, FPGA and DSP as the key devices on software radio framework, with large capacity high-speed data cache ability, by using high-speed bus for data transmission. Design and implement Software Definition Radio CPCI signal processing board on the basis of this program.First, this paper described the core idea of Software Definition Radio, the basic structure and implementation principles, illustrate the advantages of standard CPCI. Second, proposed the design requirements of Software Definition Radio CPCI signal processing board. According to the design requirements, designed board structure, choose the core device, distribute hardware modules and interfaces between the modules, completed the overall design of processing board hardware. Third, under the general scheme of hardware, proceed device selection, introduced the technical indicators of the main components. Detailed designed and implemented the hardware modules, and introduced the design points.
