Beijing Hospitals Of Different Levels Of Nursing Tasks

Currently, the irrational arrangement of nurses worsens the shortage of nurses and increases the risks of nursing security in our country. Application of grade duty nursing pattern have been gotten agreement among nurses.And it is recognized to be a direction in the reform of nursing human resource. Though many hospitals are trying to implementing it, there is no sufficient proof to verify it. Therefore, the aim of our study is to identify the main duties for different nurses in Grade III-A Hospitals in Beijing on the basis of the former study, and to give referential suggestions for establishing more scientific and rational management system. For the methods, the modified Delphi procedure was used, and the initial questionnaire was developed through literature review and semi-structured interview. A multidisciplinary panel of 35 experts from clinical management, teaching nursing management was selected for the study. After two rounds of Delphi procedure, the opinion of the experts was nearly consistent. For the results, the effective response rate was 85.7% at first round and 96.7% for the second. The first and the second grade nurses were playing important role in basic nursing, and the later could also provide some regular nursing of disease and assess the patient. While the new and complex technique in clinical, clinical teaching and clinical management were the duty of the third and the forth grade nurses .And it is the forth ones who charged the supervision and direction in clinical research. There are many different nursing content for nurses, different nurses in clinical should be used differently according to the different grade clinical nursing. We hope our study will provide a clear pattern for the practice, and provided a basis for the futher study to explore the reasonable usage of the nursing human rescourse.
