A Study On The Demands Of ICU Patients' Families And Nurses' Recognition In Shanghai Grade ? Hospitals

Objective: Research the patients' families demands and satisfaction when patients lived in the ICU in the secondary hospital,evaluate ICU nurses' cognition demand for families of critically ill patients,compare and analyze the two,point out discrepancy between the ICU nurse's awareness of the needs for the patient's family and the actual demands,discuss the factors that affect ICU nurse cognition demand for patients' families,seek effective coping strategies,improve quality of ICU care services and communication effect,provide the reference for reducing dispute nurses and patients.Methods: Use convenient sampling method,extract three comprehensive secondary hospitals in pudong new district,do the same nature of questionnaire for 115 family members of patients and 115 nurses in EICU,NICU and CCU of each sampling hospital,investigate ICU patients' family's needs and satisfy the condition and the nurse's awareness of the needs for the patient's family situation in these secondary hospital,use literature retrieval method to understand the current situation of the relationship between nurses and patients,the particularity and the critical relationship between nurses and patients in the ICU patients' family members demand progress and significance of research;Use the questionnaire survey to understand differences between ICU nurses and patients' family members demand for the family member the cognition which demand;organize the data and do statistical analysis,compare ICU nurses and patients' families demand for families of different aspects of the difference between degree of identity.Results: ICU patients' family members think the requirements of the more important condition to ensure and access to information in the secondary hospital,families' awareness to the importance of the demand and satisfaction of requirements are basically the same,but there are still a few items which is high demand and met low degree.The needs of different patients' families exist some differences in the aspect of information demand and their own comfortable demand(P < 0.05),different educational background,age,family condition,escort experience to have certain influence on the satisfaction of demand.the score of information and closing factor to the nurse is lower than scores of patients' families have difference(P < 0.05).the top important 10 demands that the ICU nurses and the patients' families think is different(P < 0.05).the family member cognition of different nurses differs with each other(P < 0.05),due to different degree,different titles and different experience in ICU,close to the demand and access to information has different degree of cognitive differences.Conclusion: As the patients is in the ICU,the families have many physical and mental needs,but not all requirements can be approved and satisfied by nurses,different categories of ICU nurses have differences in patient family member the cognition.Meeting the demand of patients' families is the duties of a nurse.ICU nurses should fully understand and pay attention to the demand of the patients' families,to seek and carry out humanistic nursing service and nursing measures,strengthen the communication and consciousness,trust patients' families,eliminate or ease the family members of the suspicion of the whole process of care and stress.This study fully give play to the role of information between patients and families for ICU nurses,improve families' satisfaction,promote patients recover,construct a harmonious relationship between nurses and patients as main purpose,and meet the demand of family members.
