With the development of technology,more and more advanced technology is being applicated into telecom network,the network's scales is being larger and larger.The evolution has happened from TDM telecom network to total IP network,from fixed network to wireless mobile network and from analog telephone network to digital program control telephone network till present 3G telephone network.That cost of building network is being brings them more competition.In order to keep their advantages in competition ,telecom services providers and network carriers is focusing from investment to market development for higher service quality.For that ,they will pay the valid and limited buget on the network management and hope that it can bring new return.Current Operation Support System especially network management system can hardly meet with the requirements on the larger telecom network.Many forein companies have been doing some research on integrated network management system.The total investment on it last year was more than 25,000,000,000$ with the increase of 11%.The concept of integrated network management provides clear aim in the network management for the carriers in the future.Integrated network management system(INMS) has been the focus of the forein and domestic carrier so that the investment on it has been the emphasis in OSS.In our country,the large carriers such as China Mobile,China Unioncom,China Telecom and China Netcom have been starting to build their INMS;the INMS has been applicated widely by the oversee carriers in Australia and Newzealand.INMS is being widely applicated in OSS because of its advantages: The software solution based on advanced network management mode,can realize the fault management on the more and more equipments(Switch,Transport,Data and Power) from different providers during building the telecom network.It can provides the carrier an integrated multi-professional and multi-provider network management platform;INMS can help the carrier to enhance their network and service management by professional alarm correlation and the correlation with their customer's information;INMS can bring them additional income by providing professional network management for their large cuntomers,such as Banks, Security or other companies;The work efficiency and quality can be promoted by the management to the whole network so that the human resource in network management can be reduced.Because the management is focused on the whole network,it is helpful to enhance the network's stability and eliminate the falut in time.
