Presently, IT system are used in more and more enterprise and department and taking a important part in information management. Along with the application scale expansion, alarm intellectualized processing request is become more and more urgent. Because associations exist among entities, one fault in a single entity may cause a number of accompanying alarms beside the root alarm during fault propagation. To improve the quality of IT services, it is important to quickly and accurately detect and diagnose its faults. The most important question of Fault Management is getting the useful alarm information which hide in massive, repetitive, useless warning.Most alarm managements in present NMS (network management system) are generally pause at the alarm simple treatment and the simple rule match. Such method can't assure the maintenance and management quality of NMS. Even affect the network management system in the actual uses.To solute this problem, the author proposes an alarm correlation analysis method based on status model, which store the relation of different entity status, called rules. By analyses the rules, you can get other relational entity status. At last, the user can get a tree, which shows the fault of the entity. Then its applications in IT system and prototype system's realization also are discussed in this paper. This system not only can deal with alarms and faults from network layer, but also works on application layer. The system has good effect in Alarm Management of IT System Management. At the last, the author give some propose to the shortage of the model.
