| On October first 2009, the ceremony of celebrating China's 60th anniversary was held at Tiananmen Square and CCTV broadcasted the splendid celebration to the whole world. www.people.com.cn and www.nytimes.com are the two leading websites which are under different nation benefit,culture tradition and political system. How do they report the same historic story? By researching their numbers of reports, contents, keywords and reporting methods we can make comparative analysis from a broader and deeper perspective.This article does a case study of the China's 60th anniversary by taking the reports between 20th Sep 2009 to 7th Oct 2009 as samples, try to use the method of frame analysis to analyze their themes, tones, keywords and titles and it makes an effort to present the difference of the reports on viewing angle,technique and effect. The results are following.1. On some level news reports give expression to the State-will and current social situation and also imply State-ideology and mentality.2. www.people.com.cn and www.nytimes.com observe the same story from different perspectives and choose the facts, emphasize them, then complete the news frame.3. The principle"righteous and objective"of www.nytimes.com weaken. |
