A Comparative Study Of Chinese 60^th Anniversary Report Between China And Western Media Based On Frame Theory

China celebrates its 60th anniversary on October 1st 2009, the capital of Beijing held a grand celebration and parade, all the national are full of joy. It also attracts many foreign medias, but as the different culture and ideology between China and western, their reporting methods and angles are different.This article makes a comparative study of Chinese 60th anniversary report between China and western countries based on Frame theory. At the same time, we make reference about the structure of frame theory and the news discourse structure. Frame theory is a potential process of construction meaning, it is also a dynamic process of choice, stress or restructuring, and it's the central idea of news content. It builds a framework from selecting some truth, emphasizing some truth to reorganize the truth, so it can make some impact on the cognitive of news for the audience.In this paper, we choose domestic paper "People's Daily","China Youth Daily","Southern Metropolitan Daily" and western paper "New York Times","Washington Post" 'The Wall Street Journal","The Times","The Guardian","Mirror" as the research object. We make comparison of the thematic framework, structural framework and the framework of discourse. Then we choose parade report, analyzing the title, theme, structure, source, keywords, and tone of reports.From above, we find domestic media construct the government framework, and western media construct conflict reporting framework. Thus, we discuss the different reasons from the ideological, cultural systems, national interests. Then, from previous analysis, we explore how to make external communication. So we should be reported by raising the level of changing the pattern of political communication as well as the national exchanges, then we can enhance the influence of Chinese external communication.
