The Research On Cosmetic Safety Supervision System Reform

Since the reform and opening up, people have more money in their pockets. Cosmetic, which used to be luxury goods, has become very popular in people's daily lives. Usage of low-quality cosmetic products can harm people's health. The quality of cosmetic manufacturing is very important and it is drawing more and more attention of the consumers. Since 2006, there had been numerous cosmetic safety issues, reflecting severe deficiencies in the government's supervision and quality control system over the cosmetic industry. The chance of producing low-quality cosmetic exists in the stages of research, production and circulation. In order to ensure quality of cosmetic products, we must understand and analyze problems in the supervision and control system so we can propose reforms of the system accordingly.In this thesis, development of the cosmetic supervision in China is introduced, problems in the supervision and quality control system over the cosmetic industry is analyzed and by learning from the experiences of developed countries and areas, a proposals to improve the system is put forward.This study provides theoretical and practical suggestions which aim to alter the current disordered situation, promote rapid and healthy growth of the cosmetic industry in our country and increase its ability to compete internationally.
