At present, however, Chinese food safety issues still emerged in endlessly. This reality has also reflected some new characteristics of our food safety issues. Thus, in order to ensure the people's living quality and living safety, Chinese government should consummate the supervision and management system for food safety unceasingly.Through comparing legal system, supervision and management institute and its power and duty, important idea and method in food safety supervision and management between China and foreign countries, we can discuss the advantage of European countries, the USA and Japan and other countries'food safety supervision and management. Also, we can find the disadvantage of Chinese food safety supervision and management. Combined with the actual situation of China, we can summarize the inspiration and reference to consummate our food safety supervision and management from foreign countries'food safety supervision and management.Law is the guarantee of modern government administration and the first chapter of this article mainly introduced the legal system of food safety supervision and management in China and foreign countries. However, China has great progress tendency to keep up with them or even exceed them.
