Mass Incidents Reports And Construction Of Newspaper Core Competence In Recent Years

In recent years, with the theory of core competence getting more perfect and mature, industry and society has attached importance on the core competence of newspaper. Many scholars have done much exploration and mining about the core competence of newspapers, both based on the distribution, management, technology, capital and other macro-level studies, but also on microscopic analysis about the text, content, and micro-level thing. However, mostly related to the theoretical part, the specific case studies were few. Research on mass incidents and reports about them has just started, and study on combination of mass incidents with core competence of a study newspaper is very rare.This paper starts with some basic concepts like group events, the core competence of newspapers taking the reports on "PX incident in Xiamen" and the "Weng'an Incident" in "Southern Weekend" for example, it examines systematically and detailed that how taking reports on groups affect the newspaper's credibility and influence, as well as how to take fine press coverage to achieve the purpose of building and enhancing the core competence of newspaper.This paper divides into three parts:sub-preamble, body, and conclusion.In the first chapter, it mainly analyses the reasons of origins of mass incidents, the meaning, characteristic and news reports on mass incidents, and traceing the origin of the theory of core competence and various statements, put more efforts into the study of the newspaper's core competence and the relationship between the core competence and reports on mass incidents based on it, take "Southern Weekend" for example finally, organizing the manifest from the three concepts like "content", "talent" and "brand". Chapter II is a research focus of this article. Aa outstanding representative of the newspaper media, successful experience of "Southern Weekend" building core competence has been the talk of the industry. The article selects one of the two outstanding representatives of the news-reports on "PX incident in Xiamen " and "Weng'an incident" and analyses them in-depth. Two styles is different, but they both become "finishing touch" of "Southern Weekend" and they enhance the paper's influence, credibility and the core competitiveness forcefully to create "newspaper myth. " in Chinese democratic society process.The theme of Chapter III is discussing how to building and promoting the core competence by reports on mass incidents. Taking press carefully, rationally and objectively is good for building and promoting the core competence.This paper hopes to learn from some knowledge and theory of management, social psychology, economics, journalism, communication studies and other related disciplines, try to cutting into from the two reports in "Southern Weekend" and explore the relationship between the construction of core competence with it. This paper uses method of qualitative and quantitative research; find a balance between the two points by analyzing the theoretical level and practical level of concrete examples and develop new ideas on the research about the development of newspaper media.
