| At present,the ecological environment problems caused by the blind development of economy are becoming more and more serious.Environmental problems have become a common problem facing the whole world.In this highly informationized era,environmental news communication activities are gradually launched worldwide.In addition to informing the public about environmental information,environmental news also plays a certain social function.Through reporting and commenting,it disseminates environmental knowledge,educates the public about the environment,and correctly guides the audience's value judgment on environmental issues.Environmental news originated in the United States and was formally introduced into China after the reform and opening up.It developed in the mid-1980 s.Southern Weekend is an in-depth newspaper founded with the tide of reform,and has always been a pioneer of reform and innovation in the industry.In October 2009,Southern Weekend created a green edition,and its environmental news coverage became normal.Since 2015,China's environmental legislation has been improving day by day.The promulgation of the new Environmental Protection Law,known as "the most stringent law in history",has promoted a series of environmental policies and regulations to work together and established asolid legal guarantee for environmental governance and protection.Environmental news reports have entered a new period of development.Environmental news in Southern Weekend Green Edition also presents new characteristics.At the same time,the domestic public opinion situation is gradually tightening.The environmental news of Southern Weekend Green Edition still shows its style of criticizing the current situation with a certain number of negative reports.The results of content analysis of environmental news reports published in Southern Weekend 2015-2017 show that among 538 environmental news reports published,the largest proportion is related to atmospheric environment in terms of environmental categories;the largest number is in terms of reporting genre;and the top three are journalists,government officials,experts and scholars in terms of sources of information.In terms of themes,natural environmental pollution and protection,environmental protection behavior of environmental protection authorities,food safety related issues accounted for the most;in terms of reporting tendency,the number of neutral reports reached 392,accounting for 72.9%,and 112 negative reports,accounting for 20.8%.In terms of reporting characteristics,the environmental issues of the newspaper are highly forward-looking;adhere to the exclusive style of in-depth excavation,maintain an objective and fair reporting position;give full play to the narrative style of "story-telling",convey riskawareness to the public in the reports that are in harmony with depth and interest,and carry out necessary risk warning.Although Southern Weekend's environmental news has its unique features and has formed a distinct style of reporting,there are still some problems,such as ignoring vulnerable discourse,inadequate supervision,and poor communication with the audience,which restrict its dissemination effect to a certain extent.Therefore,for a newspaper,the most important thing is the content it conveys,"content is king" is the decisive factor for the media to remain invincible.Weekend.The green edition of Southern Weekend should give full play to the role of public opinion supervision of the mainstream media,improve service functions and strive to promote public participation.Only by constantly improving environmental news coverage in content,form and service can the Green Edition of Southern Weekend remain invincible in the media competition. |
