The Research And Implementation Of Key Functions Of Network Management System Based On Web And SNMP

Because of the rapid development of network technology, the network scale is more larger, the structure is more complicated,all kinds of equipment's normal running is very important for the whole network system. Therefore, network management is becoming increasingly important. A real-time network monitor based on Web can bring convenience and instinct sense.As component of TCP/IP protocol suite,SNMP has become standard actually and it is applied widely.This paper introduced the status of network management system and its research significance firstly. On this basis, it proposed system whole design by introducing and analyzing the SNMP protocol, which mainly studied two core modules:performance management module and trap management module, which were analyzed and resolved for key and core problem. The performance management module collected network data by OID objects from MIB, then got network performance data by calculational formula. It proposed a polling mechanism to collect data timely by transferring DLL files. It realized real-timely network traffic statistics in chart through SVG technology.So network administrators can keep abreast of the situation of network.Trap management module designed a program of trap information's collection and disposal, which real-timely listened 162 port to collection trap information from all client computers. At the same time, Aiming at SNMP protocol is based on trustless UDP protocol, it designed a back service programmer to prove the Tightness and reliability of trap monitor. The interface traffic and online status of the routers were monitored in Trap alarm module, which would alarm in various forms for trap information.Finally, the thesis tested the two function modules and pointed out the shortcomings, which looks forward to the further efforts to be made in the designing.
