Design And Implement Of Real Time LAN Management System

With the broadly usage of computer, people are becoming more and more depend on computer networks. Future society is an information society which can not miss network. So that, computer network becomes more and more important in people's life. As a basic establishment of society, computer network is everywhere around us. With the rapid development of computer network, people are becoming more and more concern about the Network Management.Under this background, this article studies Network Management. Firstly, we introduce the evolution of Network Management and some basic concepts about Network Management combined with its function requirement. Being a part of the TCP/IP protocol stack, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is a virtual standard of Network Management, and broadly applied. So we particular introduce the protocol standard of Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and related Management Information Base (MIB), Structure of Management Information (SMI).Secondly, this article analyses the practical requirement of real environment, then present a practical LAN Management System structure. Moreover, based on this structure, we study configuration management, fault management, performance management. In this duration, a structure function fig is shown, and an algorithm of abnormity check is brought forward.Finally, this article gives a detail design of LAN Management System. Using Visual C#, we realize a Network Management system, including SNMP primitives, main function modules. This system, put into use from June, 2007, can yield satisfied results that proved the correctness of the design.
