With the continuous development of science and technology, computer networks play an increasingly important role in modern society. Computers have become an essential tool for office, and computer networks have become the basic bridge of information exchange. Modern enterprises are deploying complex computer network systems, and the quality of network performance will have a direct impact on the efficiency of enterprises and economic benefits. Therefore, management systems which can help administrators maintain a smooth and efficient operation of the network is indispensable for enterprises. The system is developed based on SNMP. The system monitors the CPU utilization, the memory utilization and the process operation of servers, routers and other network equipments. As a result, the network administrator can master the status of network equipments in real time. When network equipments fail to work, the system is able to detect problems and raise an alarm to resolve them in time.Network administrators can also acquire the network topology of enterprises through the system. In conclusion, the network operation management system can be used to help the network administrator to manage and maintain the networkThe thesis begins with the background and significance of the project, in which the related technology development at home and abroad is introduced. At the same time, the network management technologies are analyzed and the existing network management protocols are compared.Especially the SNMP is in-depth researched on, that is used in this system.Subsequently, the overall design and function are explained. Also, the division of the structure and the specific design and implementation for each functional module are described in detail. Finally, the system testing is introduced and the evaluation of the results is given. Besides, the summaries and prospects of the whole work are made.
