Research And Implement On Remote Monitoring System Based On GPRS And Embedded System

The significance and development status of a Remote Monitoring and Control System (RMCS) were firstly introduced in this paper. Then the background knowledge of the RMCS based on GPRS and embedded system was introduced, including GPRS transmission model and the advantages, PPP protocol working principle, as well as embedded systems technology. On this basis, an embedded system and GPRS-based RMCS was successfully designed. The hardware design included an embedded microprocessor, GPRS module selection, data acquisition modules and interface circuit design; The software design included embedded Linux migration, PPP protocol transplant, socket programming, data acquisition and storage, process communication and the process management. The test result indicated that this system can fulfil remote monitoring and information exchange through GPRS network with good stability and portability,.
