In recent years, with the development and progress of society, the environmental pollution became more and more serious, and it is threat to human survival and development. How to prevent and control environmental pollution effectively, has become a focus of general public. The premise of prevent is to control pollution sources real-time, provide monitoring data fast and accurate and processing data, statistics,it provides the basis for environmental law enforcement,pollution control,decision-making and so on.This paper propose a multi-function remote environmental monitoring system, the system contain environmental monitoring instrumentation, collection devices, communication module, the monitoring center PC. Environmental monitoring instruments used LPC2214 ARM7 MCU as core processor, modular design, using the operating systemμC / OS-II scheduling and management tasks, through the collection device for data collection, through one of the RS485 bus, wireless GPRS, Ethernet three kinds of transmission sent the data to monitoring center, to achieve remote management of the environmental monitoring.This article describes the development of domestic and international environmental monitoring status and future trends, analysis the composition and work principle of environmental monitoring instrument, The design consists mainly five parts:Three kinds of monitor mode; Three kinds of transmission; Hardware design; Software program writing; Host computer processing.The design of hardware include power design,ARM7 series processor LPC2214, LCD display, keypad, ferroelectric memory FM3326. CPU major acquisition of analog I2C signal, frequency signal, voltage signal, Gray code signal, and switch signal, and processing the collected data and display through the LCD, use the button to modify the system parameters. FM33256 with an external watchdog, RTC clock and other functions, the external watchdog can achieve low-voltage monitoring, at the same time, the chip have 256k FLASH which can be used to store instrument parameters, the design enhances the instrument's immunity and stability.The part of the software write the program about signal acquisition, watchdog and real-time clock program, serial communications, key handling procedures and so on ; Research theμC / OS-II operating system, make the operating system transplantation into environmental monitoring system; The Communication protocol used the CRC check to improve the accuracy of data transmission.Three types of monitoring is divided into sources of pollution patterns, traffic intersection mode, residential area model, the paper introduced the monitoring of environmental parameters for each model. Three kinds of transmission including RS485, wireless GPRS, Ethernet, the paper introduced the three forms of communication working principle and use .The server part designed the host computer interface, the query interface and set interface, the PC for data processing, data acquisition, storage, query, alarm and other functions.After the design of the instrument , do the tests of performance simultaneity,we had finish more than one instrument and control center computer debugged.The result is that network communications link stable and reliable.
