Research On Distributed Environmental Monitoring System

Environmental monitoring is an important department for Environmental protection. Distributed environmental monitoring system needs to set up a monitoring system which should be good in stability, real time,covering area and includes data acquisition,communication,analysis to provides Technology support to declaration of environmental protection because it has large mount of transmitting data,distribute of monitoring point and broadcast of covering area.First, this dissertation provides the requirement and the model of the system. The monitoring system is consist of data communication, GPRS-terminal and information system of the monitoring center.On data communication analyses several kinds of wire and wireless monitoring system on the data transmitting.then it introduces the wireless monitoring system based on GPRS because GPRS has advantages of "fast access time","high speed data transmission","always online"and"pay by transferred data".In the design of GPRS-terminal,ARM7TDMI microprocessor(S3C4510B), GPRS wireless module(MC35T)and Embedded OS called uCLinux are chosen to set up researching platform for the monitoring system.Some of software development departments of Embedded system such as main control module,GPRS connection module are introduced and describes the way of upward/downward communications in detail.Monitoring center is the key of the distributed environment monitoring system ,in the Management Information System of monitoring center takes advantage of VC#.NET in the program design, applies the GDI+ and .NET component technology in the .NET framework to the Management Information System to generate the dynamic drawing and the system becomes more efficient,the expansibility of the system becomes better,and the maintenance also becomes more convenient by uses of multi-thread technology.
