With the development of modern technology in energy industries, there are more kinds of hazardous chemicals be produced, and widely used in industry and people's daily life. This developing trend brings a huge problem during hazardous material's transportation and storage. It may cause disastrous consequences like poisoning, fire and explosion in case of the leakage of those materials. Therefore, to monitor the leakage of hazardous material rapidly and accurately plays an important role in security issue.This article is proposed a method to real-time monitor the leakage of hazardous material during transportation. Ethanol is taken as the experiment gas. TMS320F2812 which is produced by TI is the core chips of this system. After the signal being shaped, filtered and amplified, It can be transmitted by the gas sensor to TMS320F2812's native 12-bit A/D conversion, which samples data for monitoring the change of gas concentration. There is a humid and temperature sensor which provide the humid and temperature data for compensation. Then the compensated data can be used to judge whether it is over alarm threshold and transmitted to PC by MAX232.On PC, you can review the record and history data at any time. The whole system includes a serial of units, like gas sensor unit, humid and temperature sensor unit, signal conversion and conditioning unit, AD conversion circuit, sound and light alarm unit, RS-232 communication module, the battery monitoring unit, the gas pump control unit, ext. The DSP main program use the method of modular programming, completed the design of initialization module, real-time communication module and other system function modules for test procedures.Due to experiment constraints, this paper designed a method for laboratory studies of gas monitoring and control system, and on this basis, completed the core part-control system's design and implementation. This system can monitor the hazardous chemical's leakage status during the whole process of transportation, once spill occurs, the system can immediately detect the leakage and alarm. This paper presents a security solution for the modern logistics of hazardous chemicals.
