Image capture system, which play an important role in digital image processing. It transmit the signal which captured from camera to PC by high speed computer bus. it's very convenience to analyse and process by PC's powerful calculate, process capability.With the rapid development of FPGA technique, real time process become more and more important. So we need to capture image on high resolution and high frame. At present, image capture system based on FPGA and computer bus is applied broadly. PCIE bus is so popular because very high speed and low power consume.Designing an auto-adaptive high resolution image acquisition system is the goal of this project. In this dissertation, image acquisition system's actuality and future are presents at first. The basic form of an image acquisition system is CCD camera, FPGA processor, SDRAM, PCIE card and COMPUTER. In this design, CCD camera, which is composed of the CCD chips, A/D conversion and data storage module, outputs digital signal. The acquision and transmission of the image are controlled by FPGA, and the image data are put into the SDRAM. At last, the data is transmitted to the computer through PCI Express bus.
