With extensive application of the HC mill, the market's requirement for quantity and species of the HC rolling mill is increasing, so the design work is gradually harder. In order to reduce abundant repetitive work, increase design efficiency, shorten the cycle from design to production, in this paper, the variant design system of HC mill assembly model was established on the panel of CAD software Pro/E by using VC++6.0, through the research about the function and construction of the HC mill, which have important theoretical meaning and practical application value for the digital design of HC mill.In this paper, the development environment of Pro/E software was introduced, which was combined by the redevelopment tool Pro/TOOLKIT and the VC++6.0. The method of redevelopment and the parametric technique of the model template were studied. Based on the function and construction of the HC mill, the 3-D models were built, in which the parameters were created. And the standard database was established, by using family tables. The paper studied the method of manipulating the ACCESS database by using MFC ODBC classes. Then, the model data, model and the standard parts parameters were added to datasheets, which indicated that the global database was finished.According to the function and construction features of the HC mill, parametric variant design of assembly body, based on the theory and methods of variant design is deeply researched. And the global parametric technology was combined with the variant design technology, in result, the all of parts updating synchronously, and consistent change between parameters in models and data in global database. This paper studied the automatic assemble technique, referring to coordinate system, which illuminated the defined method of reference coordinate system in parts and assemblies models, assembly based on the path of the features, interfere checking etc. The all-in-one design method of CAD/CAE was fulfilled. by CAE module has been established. In the CAE module, the simplified assembly models that was finished in parametric variant design were analyzed by FEM in MARC software. The important part, mill stand was check at intensity, the results of which can check whether the structure of parts was reasonable or not. The stiffness of mill stands was obtained in the analysis, the result of the which displayed the curve of toughness body's vertical direction as a result of the moving of the middle rollers'lateral direction. The analysis provided reference for HC mill design. |
