AS a full service's telecommunication service provider, China Unicorn's foundation transmission network scale is more and more large, and the network structure is more and more complicated. Intend to integrated management the transmission network effectively, China Unicom started to construct the Backbone transmission network management system in 2003. Afater several years construction, the system has the management ability of DWDM,SDH and ASON network, the main function include the configuration management, the alarm monitor management, the circuit dispatch etc.The real-time monitor and management to the optical power plays an important position in the management of DWDM network.. To monitor the varies of optical power can make the man on duty find out the equipment functional mode and fault without delay in order to location and resolve the fault in time. The optical power management system satisfy the require of network management and make the construct of network management system more practicability.Firstly, this paper analyses the related current situation and problems of maintenance work to the optical power, pointing out the necessity of construct the system. Secondly, this paper gives detailed design of the system, including whole system architecture, data collect and work module and flow , display interface style, data statistics and analysis management etc.according to the result of demand analysis, this paper gives the integrated design, the major function, and At the part of database, this paper analyses the system related objects and the relationship between them. Based on this, this paper analyses the related data, and designs the mainly tables of the patrol system. At last, this paper describes the characteristic and effect contents.at present, this system have completed research and development, putting in to preoperation already. The effects of test run show that this system satisfy the needs of man on duty to the DWDM network maintenance and the management to the optical powe,. Through appropriate expansion, this system can be used in more areas. This system has excellent application value and social benefits.
