The Implementation Of Dynamic Report In Integrated Network Management Technology For Passenger Information System

PIS (Passenger Information System) system is a system related to Multi-disciplinary, multi-system and multi-manufacturer,due to it has numerous sub-system and jumbled data category, it needs to use data warehouse technology to pre-analyze and process a great quantity of data caused by every sub-system, so that the data storage is increased and the efficiency of enquiry is improved.DR (Dynamic Report) technology is an important application of data warehouse concept in practice. The data in PIS system data warehouse comes from many different subsystems. According to customer's demand, the data in PIS system data warehouse is defined as seven main subject areas. Every main subject area is detailed by a set of related forms.This thesis has made a four-tier-system structure for the DR function of PIS system, including application, expression, and processing and data tier. It has established a data warehouse based on DR system of which data and format is required by users. Based on the structure, the thesis divide the DR function of PIS system into two main functional modules--- DR data defined module and DR format defined module.The key function of DR data defined module is to allow users to obtain report data in a custom mode. It means user define a Multi-dimensionality-expression Language (MDX Language) through a guided way. Based on the language, the module will multi-analyze data warehouse, and create a multi-dimensional result collection on the basis of DR format. The result collection is finally shown up in a XML format.The key function of DR format defined module is to set up users'expected DR format based on some information of DR data files (XML files) and customized DR format. Based on the setup, system transforms the DR data files (XML files) to database files, and stores these files, then System will transform the database files to several scripts, and finally create a DR format file (XSL files) by synthesizing script information and data information in DR data files. Meanwhile, the database files can be stored as DR template for reuse.
