The Design And Realization Of Account Analyzing Report System Based On Data Warehouse Technology

To apply Data Warehouse technology to reporting systems has been being widely discussed and implemented for several years. It is able to retrieve statistical information from a massive data gathered from business operations and provide consulting information or business leads to the management team of organizations in order to improve the quality of decisions.This thesis begins with an introduction to basic theories and principles of Data Warehouse and Online Analytical Process and their fundamental cores; regarding with the requirements of the company branch of Unicom, it proposes an Account Report Analyzing System Solution from a view of Data Warehouse. The solution can be divided into design, structure and front represented in this system developing and altogether three parts. The core is to construct the data warehouse. It can be broke down into three major steps, business requirements and logics analysis, logic modeling and physical modeling. The data warehouse is populated by retrieving data, massaging data and loading data. The account analyzing report system comprises four modules, Data Collecting Module, Data Analyzing Module, Report Engine Module and Account Analyzing Report System Module, the former three modules are implemented at the background of the system so that they don't have visual to end users. The interaction between real operators and the system is functioned by Report Presenting Module.The Account Analyzing Report System has been commercially accepted and used widely and working very well. Feedbacks from a large base of end users indicate that it is capable of assisting management team to make right decisions by providing accurate statistical information. It is a help to catch a whole picture of how one organization is working.
