Wireless Sensor Network(WSN)has wide application in national defence and military affairs,health care,environmental monitoring and forecast, city management, high efficient agriculture, industrial controls, rescue and relief work and so on.It has important scientific value and practical utility. Node Chip is the core component of WSN, the storing and accessing efficiency of it's instruction and data direct influence the function, performance, power consuncption of the whole chip, thus influence the application range and technical data of WSN.Based on the research and analysis of the architecture of WSN, we design the Storage and Access,and the relevant components. In this paper,we have discuss the architecture of memory system,the distribution of memory space, address mapping,addressing,access control,arbitration, and so on.Base on this,we have improve the basic DMA(Direct Memory Access) controller,and design the instruction Cache. in basic DMA controller, by the transmission feature of WSN, we have add the function of automatic detection the MAC frame size of WSN,thus it can support length field in transfer data setting variable transfer length. in instruction Cache ,we have use 2-way set associative structure and least recently used (LRU) policy to design ,we also have design the configuration function of programmable controlling.we can open up and close it flexibly by the different applications .thus ,it can improve performance and reduce power.In this dissertation, the Storage and Access circuit of the whole chip and the relevant components are described with Verilog HDL. The function simulation and synthesis are performed by using EDA tools. Furthermore, we have analyse the performance and power consumption. The result demonstrates that this scheme has satisfy the node chip,the performance is improved,the power consumption is lower.
