LED backlight LCD TV has got more and more attention for its low-power backlight, easy to control with local-dimming style. One way to use FPGA as the backlight controlling device is a better solution for its advantage of real-time and lower developing risk.First, the article introduced the development of LED backlight LCD, the main subject of the background of the development of the status quo at home and abroad, the research significance of the subject, the main source of research and thesis structure. And then in the second chapter, the article introduced the development of FPGA, the features of FPGA, and focused on the Cyclone III family of FPGA hardware architecture, hardware description language , Quartus II as well as the general principles of FPGA development.Chapter III first introduced video image processing of the general approach, and then focused on the principles and methods of LED backlight LCD TV to achieve to reduce motion blur and low contrastChapter IV is the most important part of the article .First we introduced the basal concept of high-speed digital circuit, the common problems and solutions in a high-speed digital circuit design. Then we introduced the circuit part of the design in this article in detail. In this part,we focued on the design of LVDS,pcb design and EMC design of the system.Finally, the article showed the system's debugging results which verified the design objectives. In this paper, the results have been used in bulk quantities of our first listing of ultra-thin LED backlit 42-inch TV, which has good economic returns and broad market prospects.
