Based on some typeairborne array project, firstly direction of arrival estimation algorithms in array signal processing and beamforming algorithms are mainly discussed in this dissertation. Then the hardware platform for the array signal processor is given, and then the performances of DOA estimation and digital beamforing are analyzed in detail. The DOA estimation algorithm can be used for multiplecoherent signals and strong/weak signals at the same time. In this section the digital up convert technology used for the digital beam output is analysed in detail. The interpolator and its positive effect on the spectrum of the signal output from D/A is presented.The design methods and the structure of the hardware platform are proposed finally; include the signal integrity of the PCB, division of the clock domain, internal bus and state machine in the FPGA. The high speed LVDS technology is used for the base band data transfer. The proper design of the hardware platform offer a stabilize implement of the DOA estimation and beamforming algorithms scheme. In this dissertation the hardware platform is designed based on the algorithm scheme and the algorithm scheme is realized on the hardware platform. Finally the result and the performance analysed on the hardware platform certificate the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm scheme.
