There are often toxic gases in the smelter production.Traditional wired network sensor network is complicated and repaired difficulty,so it's in urgent need of a wireless solution.ZigBee is a kind of standard that emerges in recent years as short distance wireless communication technical,and has its own unique superiority when it is applied in the wireless sensor network.Therefore the Gas Density Monitoring system based on ZigBee emerged as the times require.The paper designed and implemented the Gas Density Monitoring system based on ZigBee against a backdrop of smelter.The main work is as follows:(1) studied the ZigBee protocol standards and framework.(2) designed of the overall structure of the Gas Density Monitoring system and network topology depend on specific environmental of smelter.(3) Chose the main chip and development platform,completed the hardware design of the terminal node,realized the AD converter module,a wireless sending module,power supply module.(4) Studied the reduced ZigBee stack,complete the design of Software of the terminal nodes and Coordinator.(5) Completed the software of PC-monitoring,which had some functions such as serial port settings,threshold value settings,database processing,dynamic charts and so on,based on MFC in VC6.0 development environment.(6) Tested the concentration of gas monitoring system and gave the results.The system had met the basic design goal and reflected ZigBee technology own unique superiority when it was applied in monitoring area through the design and test of the concentration gas of monitoring system base ZigBee.
