With the rising level of military modernization, a variety of office equipment extensively comes into use. Improving the security defense capabilities of vital equipment and ensuring the security of office equipment under complex environment are crucial to winning the information war. With comprehensive utilization of ZigBee network technology and mobile communication technology, this dissertation designs and implements a safety monitoring system for important equipments in buildings. Safety monitoring system consists of a host management center and three types of CC2430-based sensor nodes (monitoring node, routing nodes and coordinator nodes) which constitute a ZigBee wireless network. The monitoring nodes read the location, temperature, voltage and other important information of office equipment and sent to the coordinator through the routing nodes. The host management center monitors and manages the whole network by communicating with the coordinator nodes through a serial port. Safety monitoring system can sense abnormal situation such as the changes of equipment's location and temperature, timely alarm and detailed record. Besides, it can provide remote management function based on the GSM network for the administrator and ensure office equipment's security by all-weather, real-time-effective and intelligent monitoring.
