As the domestic & international market competition becomes fiercer,the customized requirement development faster,the manufacture system calls for not only higher product quality but also shorten delivery,less product cost and better services.Lean Production promotes manufacture system by Just-in-time,one-flow,balanced operation,eliminates valueless waste and improves continuously.This puts forward to higher demands for facility layout scale,design cycle and process supporting,so traditional layout methods are inclining to be ineffective even idle.Based on the characteristics of facility layout under Lean Production,combined with the theory of Cellular Manufacturing and Group Technology,this paper has done research on Computer-Aided Facility Group Layout as follows:1) Lean Production patterns' facility layout system and its inner relevancy.For the characteristics of Lean Production,it studies the traditional facility layout methods' applicability problems,through introducing of cellular manufacturing,agile layout, and distributed layout and so on;it tries to explore facility layout system and new structure.2) Manufacturing cells' construction method and accessory clustering algorithm. Considering production requirements,process capability,process factors and so on,it has studied on accessory classification system,set up mathematic model,analyzed the accessories' similarity,designed accessory clustering algorithm for manufacturing process,construct group cells,establish facilities intelligent scheduling methods and realize the optimization allocation of manufacture resource.3) Design Computer Aided Facility Group Layout(CAFGL) algorithm and systematic realization.Based on the characteristics of workshop layout,it objects to the minimum of total logistic fee,emphasis on the factors of materiel handing model, material in & out position,safety distance and so on,sets up inner and outer cells facility layout optimization model,and finally discusses how to appraise and select layout projects.4) System realization and instance demonstration.Analyze CAGFL's functions and process flow,establish relationship database by Microsoft SQL Server,Realize it based on C++6.0 platform software,and take an example of machine shop; demonstrate facility group layout's validity and rationality.In this paper,through example analysis and application,it verifies the model's practicality and the designed algorithm's scientific efficiency,and makes manufacturing systems layout design process and the result more reasonable,scientific and efficient.
