With Chinese accelerated urbanization process, Guangzhou Press, Hunan Satellite TV, etc,which are on behalf of the media city of region rise, up half of Chinese media industry. There is a close relationship between these medias and their host cities, the research and theoretical generalization of this relationship can not only promote rapid and healthy development of regional city under the new situation, but also aid the spread reality of China with a new direction.In this paper, the author take the media geography as theoretical framework with the supporting case of Wenzhou Press. An analysis, based on the clear idenf ications of related concepts, are of the characteristics of the four major regional city medias and raise theory that the city media at a specific space is bound to grow up under the influence of the city's geographical features and its economic and cultural environment; and in turn, the regional media can promote the city's economic and cultural development , build the minds of the audience about the a sample image of the city as well. The study emphasizing Wenzhou Press and focusing on its characterized private economy, Wenzhou Press,and OuYue Culture in-depth discussions, is inspected in a private economy well-developed city of Wenzhou,The interactivity between media and geography is not only related to the growth of the media, but also to the past and the future of human beings. The purpose of this paper is to search for the deep factors of city mecdia development under the guidance of the regional geopgrphy theory, to understand the relationship and the interaction among people, media, and geography, so as to find out the effective development of regional city media dissemination mechanism .This article follow the general methodology principles of social science, such as the practice principles, system principles, the development principles of qualitative and quantitative research, and the principle of comprehensiveness. Besides, acting as the application topic of geography of media , this article holds its own research methods, such as the comparison, case analysis and literature organization method.
