In recent years, facilitated by brisk commercial demand and promoted by related policies, it is now commonly accepted that educational modernizationcan be largely propelled by IT development. The campus IT construction of e-lementary and university symbolized by Campus-Network construction has developed just like a raging fire, and the large number of medium and small system integrated companies facing educational market emerge as the times require.As the campus IT construction deepen continually, many problems have been exposed endlessly, especially project delayed and overspent. All these problems reflect a fact that is the step of the managing modernization is tooslow and the project manager lack the scientific knowledge of project management to direct them in project implementation. To change this situation with much too high failing-rate of the Campus-Network Construction Project(CNCP) at present, we must apply the knowledge of project management to practice and combine the principle of project management with the characteristic of the CNCP to seek after some project management methods with strong pertinence and effective application value.Critical Chain has been successful used in many enterprises and academies attach great importance to it since it's proposed in 1997, its contents differ with traditional project schedule management theories. Critical Chain project management focuses on the critical chain, when planning, it takes resource constrain and psychology factors into con-sideration, and makes use of buffering to control the project scheduling. Goldrat illuminated the main idea and overall steps of Critical Chain in his literature, but the literature did not refer to the concrete problems in the process of putting Critical Chain into practice.This Paper analysis the CNCP of Hunan art & science University and use the knowledge of modem project managerment theory. This paper systematically expounds how to develop modem project management work in Campus-Network project, and summarizes some experience of the project management of Campus-Network.The Paper use the Critical Chain Project Management method,buffer the time of the projcet, and promote its application in improving project management performance. At last, Use this Paper to cause the thought in manager in IT field, then prove the project management in Campus-Network.
