Paul Grace, the chairman of Project Management Professional CertificationCommittee of America, said that everything is a project and all will be the project.Project Management has become the main form of production operations. With thegrowing size of project, the tasks involved in project management are more complex;requiring a wide range of resources and project data processing workload is heavier.Meanwhile, the increasingly fierce market competition under the economicglobalization also puts forward higher requirements on project completion rate andproject duration. Critical chain technology based on constraints theory not onlyconsiders the logical constraints relationship between tasks processes, but also considersthe resources constraints of tasks, making it suitable for high uncertain environment. Ifgetting the support of project management tools, application of critical chain technologywill be greatly promoted. Currently there is no project management system based oncritical chain that applies in the practical project management in domestic market.This paper used the J2EE distributed system structure to develop projectmanagement system based on the critical chain technology. Initially, the paper studiedthe realization process of the critical chain technology in the application of projectmanagement. It adopted heuristic algorithm based on priority rules to realize the criticalchain recognition and the improved recognition algorithm of feed buffer to determineinsert position of feed buffer, and eventually used Java programming language toimplement the above process. Subsequently, the thesis built critical chain projectbusiness process model covering project life cycle under the guidance of projectmanagement theory and the support of critical chain technology and achievedobject-oriented system analysis and system design process by using UML unifiedmodeling language and Powerdesigner modeling tool. Ultimately, this paper developedproject management system and embedded the critical chain technology into the projectmanagement system in the integrated development environment of Lomboz Eclipse IDE. At the same time, this paper designed XML Schema supporting critical chain programon the basis of Microsoft Project XML Schema in order to realize the data exchange ofheterogeneous critical chain project, and completed the mapping of XML to relationmode by using the proposed IP-Schema method. The exchange of heterogeneous datagreatly improved system function and application scope.
