Research On The Evaluation To Management Of Regional Information Resource Sharing System In University Libraries

With the construction of regional information resource sharing system a in university libraries, the management of system, including construction, run, service, testing, evaluation, etc, needs to be perfected. At the same time, it needs an evaluation system to assess the level of information resource sharing, and the effect of the system' management mechanism. The finally aim of regional information resource sharing system is to fulfill users' demands in regional universities, so user is the most important factor of the evaluation to the level of information resource sharing. Therefore, pay more attention to users; design the evaluation standard based on users' demands; assess the current effect of regional information resource sharing system about university library; when there is a gap between actual effect and evaluation standard, analyze the reason in time, take corresponding measure pertinently, in a word, there is a significant meaning to design a scientific and effective management mechanism of sharing system, and realize the sharing system' potent working.From users' demands, based on the results of a questionnaire, this paper discusses the evaluation to management of regional information resource sharing system in university libraries.First, by collecting the literature and searching in Internet, the author finds out the background and actuality of the theoretic and practical research about evaluation to the management of regional information resource sharing system in university libraries of the world, and based on it, the paper expounds the significance of the research. Then, on the basis of users' demands, the paper summarizes the oversea successful experience about the management of regional information resource sharing system in university libraries in four aspects: management system; sharing pattern; working mechanism; financing way. Afterward, this paper analyses the deficiency about the management of sharing system in China in the same aspects, correspondingly with oversea analyze. In addition, the paper probes into the significance of the evaluation to management of regional information resource sharing system in university libraries emphatically from users' demands.Second, by the questionnaire, the paper surveys the present content situations of users' information sharing demands in universities about many aspects, such as the using of library resource; the using of information sharing service, including Lib-Passport, interlibrary loans, document delivery, etc. And, by the results of questionnaires, the paper analyzes the deficiency about the management of regional information resource sharing system in China university libraries.Third, by visiting, the paper surveys the current status of management of regional information resource sharing system in China university libraries from the staffers of system, and gets some governors' attitude about regional information resource sharing in university librariesAt last, based on the questionnaire and visiting, the paper proposes the major aspects to discuss the evaluation to management of regional information resource sharing system in university libraries, such as the range of users; the accessibility of sharing resource; the acquirability of sharing resource; the extent of communion with users. In addition, as "fulfill users' demands, enhance users' satisfaction" is the core conception, as "offer some quality information service" is the finally aim, the paper analyses the principle, measure and content of the construction of management mechanism about regional information resource sharing system in university libraries, to sum up, it is good for the sharing system to develop healthily and stably.
