Teachers are key element in the course of education. Their teaching ability has a great influence on achieving education goal and student cultivation goal. There are no unified standards and available operating regulations, according to which we can value teaching abilities of teachers of electronics and electrical appliances applying and maintenance specialty, so we need urgently to do some research in this field. We have to formulate teaching ability standards for secondary vocational and technical teachers of this specialty. This standard has a profound significance for educating and training teachers and improving teaching quality of secondary vocational and technical education. It can help secondary vocational and technical schools select and employ new teachers and value teachers in employment.In this article, I adopt document reviewing method, interviewing and discussing method, questionnaire study method and DACUM method, etc. After analyzing teachers' abilities, I transform these abilities into ability standards, and then compile a questionnaire from these ability standards. The questionnaires are handed out to collect information. Next, the software SPSS is used to analyze these questionnaires. Last, teaching standards for secondary vocational and technical teachers of electronics and electrical appliances applying and maintenance specialty are compiled.In this article, a method of developing teaching ability standard is made and the teaching standards for secondary vocational and technical teachers of electronics and electrical appliances applying and maintenance specialty are worked out. In addition, I hold the view that general ability and extending ability are the common abilities among teachers of different specialties, while special ability vary from teacher of one specialty to teacher of another specialty. Thus, the adaptation of this study is expanded.
