Torque as the basic load form of various mechanical transmission shaft, is an important indicator of rotary mechanical power output. It's working conditions which is obtained by using torque sensor systems to collect large number of measured data, then being comparatived and analyzed is normal and stable or not, which has great practical significance to avoid the occurrence of the major equipment accidents. Combined with the actual domestic and international developing situation of dynamic characteristic research on mechanical transmission system under the harshest of environments, and supported by Natural Science Foundation Project of CQCSTC---'Dynamic Characteristic Research on Mechanical Transmission System under the Harshest of Environments', the paper puts forward and designs a torque sensor measurement system for machine principal axis under extreme circumstances , which is established by spherosyn technology based on AC electromagnetic induction, and good extendability and cheap AVR microcontroller , and virtual instruments, etc.From the view of engineering application, the paper discusses the relevant theoretical and technical issues about mechanical principal axis, and designs a spherosyn torque sensor measurement system based on AC electromagnetic induction technology,which useing DAQ composed by ATmega128 microcontroller and related signal collection / processing circuit to collect signal, and using RS-232 serial port circuit to carry the two-way collected signal to PC based on LabVIEW, and using software algorithms to calculate the phase difference, then obtaining torsion angle through the relevant mathematical relationship ,and then achieving torque measurement.Using virtual instrument technology in order to a flexible software instead of solidifying hardware, the system reduces hardware circuits, takes from the influence of undesired signal caused by hardware circuits, makes measurement results more accurate, and also enhances the reliability, fexibility, universality and extendability of the system. The system has friendly interface and front panel has feature choice, knob of related output parameters configurement and adjustment, data instruction table, and display window of signal time-domain waveform. It also has storage function so that user can activate or terminate the archiving operation at any moment, and storage discrete sampling data of the high-speed output signal for local calling and long-distance transmission.
