Torque, rotating speed and power measurement are fundamental to the designing, testing, quality checking and optimization controlling of all mechanical products. The present torque sensors usually have complex structures and are hard to make and fix. An integrated mechanical structure of grating torque sensor, which is based on three-phase asynchronous motor, was brought forward by Prof. FENG Hao in 2003. The structure is very simple and the size of torque sensor becomes smaller, and it has higher economic worth with low costs.The major contributions of this thesis include:1. Torque sensor in domestic and abroad and the disadvantages of them are summarized. A new measurement instrument is put forth.2. We ascertain the mechanical parameters of torque sensor and design a new grating torque sensor based on three-phase asynchronous motor.3.
