| With the development of the society, computers have become an indispensable tool in people's daily life. Ordinary computer users'knowledge about computer is limited to the layer of application, so in many cases a simple hardware problem can lead to their helpless. In order to let more people have chance to know the function about computer hardware, Guangdong Science Museum specially set up an exhibition on items commonly used computer components, and this is also the origin of this project.The main task for this project is to design an interactive display system. The paper is divided into three parts for discussion and analysis: the initial design, hardware selection and implementation. In the initial stage, according to the display system's characteristics of multi-module data acquisition and real-time processing, the display system is set as a simple monitoring system. Then we introduce the monitoring system theory and basic structure of monitoring system, and outline the display system's hardware block diagram. Then in the hardware selection stage, the paper makes discussion about the function of each block, particularly for data transmission part and proposes a PCI bus technology or PCI equipment based display system. Finally to the implementation stage, considering concept of the display system and the available resources, this paper presents a case using PCI1756 Data Acquisition Card to realize the display system.The software design in this system includes two sides: Data Acquisition Card Drive and the upper application software. Advantech does not only provide drive for PCI1756, but also provide a lot of user-friendly API function for secondary development; the upper application software is the focus here. The display system of the upper application software includes data processing and video calling. In this paper, data processing uses threshold while video call uses the DirectShow technology. These will be introduce in relevant chapters. |
