Marine engine room simulator is simulating the engine room equipment of the real ship and the remote control of engine by computer simulation. It not only could evaluate the traning and proficiency of the manipulator, but also implement the multifunctional and full-task simulation of the propulsion system of the marine engine room, what is more,marine engine room simulator has great excellence, such as:training in economics, repeated training of the students'ability of practical skills, enhance the students'ability of the trouble analysis, and execute some special training that difficult to realize on the real ship.In this paper-the design and implementation of Data acquisition system for marine engine room simulator, consists of three parts:32 channels of digital data acquisition card,32 channels of analog data acquisition card and data monitoring and management software of host computer. The host computer connects with serial modules of the data acquisition card via RS-485 bus interface. The responsibility of the host computer is managing all the data acquisition cards, it could realize system configuration, mode query of the data acquisition cards, and real-time data transmission.The following research works have been completed in this paper:(1)Design of the hardware:including design of the schematic diagram of the 32 channels of digital data acquisition card and 32 channels of analog data acquisition.(2)Design of the software:Realize the host computer connect with the acquisition card via serial communication,and manage the data that have collected in the WINDOWS environment, and the host computer communicate with the diesel model simulation computer by ethernet. Finally, develop the driver of the digital and analog data acquisition card.(3)Based on the large low speed engine MAN B&W, and the mathematical model of main diesel engine are firstly established. Then the conventional PID, based on BP neural network-tuning of PID control algorithm are studied, and at the same time, simulation was did in VC simulation environment, also with the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm.(4)Finally, the joint debugging of hardware and software, and implement the remote control of the diesel's three-dimensional motion model by telegraph of the bridge, and verify the real-time and reliability of the data acquisition system.
