Energy crisis makes people pay more attention to the energy-saving problem of air-conditions. And how to sample the working parameters and control the equipments in the energy-saving state automatically with the computer's control technique is of popular interest for the air-conditions'producers. Based on an energy-saving test platform of chilled water unit, a monitoring software is designed in this paper to test the platform automatically.As the stability and energy-saving effectiveness of the platform are influenced by the monitoring software, so it is necessary to design the software carefully. For UML(Unified Modeling Language) is adopted popularly in software design, in this paper we use UML case to acquire the requirement to descript the function of the software, class diagram to build the class models to demonstrate the relation of the classes. And sequence diagram, collaboration diagram, state diagram and avtivity diagrams are also applied to build the dynamic models to illustrate the collaboration of the objects and the sequence of the message transmission. Moreover, we discuss the design of main user dialogue and how to realize key class'interface design.The monitoring software we mentioned is based on the test platform of chilled water unit, but it can be used in other platforms for its general-purpose design. The functions of software consist of data sampling, data analysis, device controling, data display, data storage and data print. So the model can be applied widely. The effectiveness and stability of software has been verified in practice.
