In order to improve the function of Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow data acquisition andmonitoring system, which is used in Storage and Transportation Lab of our college, theoriginal system is redesigned to make it meet the standards of daily teaching. The dataacquisition and monitoring system is designed based on data acquisition technology, PLC(Progranmable Logic Controller) control technology and configuration technology.Firstly, this thesis shows an overview of the project. And then, the data acquisitiontechnology and PLC control technology is introduced. Thirdly, the overall of hardware andsoftware of the system is proposed. The data acquisition card, PCI-1713, is used to collect thedata from sensors and to upload collected data to a personal computer. Experimental processcan be monitored on the human-machine interface based on a commercial software, KingView.The solenoid valve in the experimental pipeline is controlled by PLC. At last, the function ofWeb publishing and LAN communication is provided, which use the function of networkcommunication of KingView. The whole system becomes a typical client/server network.The data acquisition and monitoring system, has been used successfully in our two-phaseflow experimental pipeline. It fulfills the designed functions and can run stably.
