With the development of Civil Engineering technology, a growing number of large-scale Civil Engineering structures have being built, which are playing a very important role in the national economy and social life, and increasing concern is paid to the safety, durability, and the normal function of these structures. Strain of the structures is an important aspect to the measurement of the health of the Civil Engineering, but the drawbacks of its traditional cable connecting based testing means increasingly exposed, which can not fully meet the needs of the current tests. This dissertation contains the key technical analysis of wireless strain measurement system, communication protocol design and analysis, software design and implement, hardware design and verification, aiming at developing a strain measurement system with the advantages of large-capacity, high-precision, high reliability, high adaptability, keep in line with the current domestic and international development trend of strain measurement means. The key technologies for the wireless strain measurement system are analyzed in the first part of the dissertation, including the research on the basic principles of strain measurement, the in-depth study of the commonly used strain sensor such as strain gage, vibrating wire sensor and FBG sensors, and a detailed study of wireless communication means and networking for the wireless strain measurement system. In addition, the dissertation is also dedicated to the communication protocol design on the basis of the practical application, and performance analysis which focuses on the high-level segment. Details of development environment and the flow chart of the embedded software are expounded, which is for the data acquisition nodes and the wireless channel equipment to work correctly on the protocol basis. Finally, with the actual bridge system testing and analysis, the system's overall performance, communications reliability and the validation of accuracy proved that the system design is reasonable, with high acquisition precision, data transmission stability, and achieved the complete design task. Further more, the research on the system has great theoretical and practical significance for improving the existing strain measurement technology.
