At present the scale of most universities have expanded, eachers and students have a marked increase in the number, which propose a higher demand in the administration for students and staff, especially in the daily attendance. Approach taken today is manual collection, with the continuous expansion of the scale; this primitive way of information collection is obviously no longer able to meet management needs.In order to improve this situation, we can utilize wireless data collection technologies, installing the wireless collection terminal on site. This terminal can collect attendance information from the existing campus smart IC card with RFID card reader and stored them in memory of terminal. Through the wireless connection between terminal and base station equipment, this information will be transmitted and inported into database for further processing.Ad Hoc network has the feature of self organized, multiple routes, it also has a good prospect in the wireless data acquisition system. Wireless Ad Hoc network technology can improve the efficiency of data acquisition system, make data collection methods more flexible and adaptive to different application requirements.This paper conducts a depth study in existing Ad Hoc network technology and proposes an Ad Hoc network protocol stack architecture base on wireless terminal according to the actual needs of the project, building a multi-hop wireless networks: The network is composed of a data collection node and wireless base stations which include wireless relay nodes and routing nodes.In the data link layer, through analysis of the factors that affect the protocol performance, this paper designs the link layer protocol based on the priority polling system, including frame format, detailed CRC16 checksum error detection algorithm and system interface module for he realization of the program.In the routing layer design, the paper also researches existing routing technologies of wireless network and proposes an improved dynamic source routing protocol. In the routing process, the relay nodes will forward request packet of different path routing, which allowing the routing node to be informed of the entire network topology, and then a centralized routing algorithm will be used to calculate path to each node. This approach improves the network routing efficiency witha lower cost.The innovation of paper is the utilization of Ad Hoc network technology into Wireless Data Acquisition System, designation and implementation of hardware and software architecture and dedicated communication protocols for wireless terminal and base station. It solves the optimization problems of mobile terminal data acquisition with low-cost and high efficiency.
