| This quantitative content analysis investigates Chinese elite newspaper's reporting on The USA. The newspaper is: The People's Daily .This study accesses a full description of the newspaper reports, 2001.9-2007.9.The reporting pattern and the Patterns of coverage over time are described in an exhaustive report indices study .By applying correlation analysis, and non-parametric test, the study yielded the pattern of report and found: the report is mainly focused on maintaining the political stability and the international realations.It is hoped that the analysis might provide insight into future studies of more meaningful and profound study, which should combine content analysis with effect study and audience research. The study of media control will also expanding or deepening content study. |
