Since the Trump administration,the US government has continued to advance the US's domestic and foreign policy under the guidance of the “America First” thinking,and the negative factors in its strategy toward China have continued to increase.Especially on the issue of China's trade,the US government has repeatedly proposed so-called unfair trade practices,arguing that the Chinese government has harmed the US economy in areas such as technology transfer,intellectual property,and innovation,and has thus provoked trade disputes with China.From2018 to the present,China and the United States have conducted a trade confrontation for more than two years.The largest trade war in the history of the world economy has become a complex,comprehensive,volatile,and serious feature.Hot topics in international news have caused long-term and large-scale follow-up reports from domestic and foreign media.In the context of globalization,the importance of international communication capacity building is self-evident.Therefore,in the report on the international hotspot of Sino-US trade friction,how domestic mainstream media presents international economic issues,the establishment of a reporting framework,the discourse system,and the construction of the national image all directly affect the internationalcommunity's views on the substance of this dispute and their opinions Cognition of Chinese Voice.People's Daily's Weibo,WeChat and App on Sino-US trade frictions have typical characteristics,forming a specific reporting framework and discourse system.From the three themes of“progress-impact-stance”,the six reporting frameworks of conflict,cooperation,ownership,economic consequences,leadership,and history have been set up to show the full picture of the Sino-US trade friction event.Pay attention to the audience,change the discourse system,adhere to the dual expression of authoritative discourse and emotional discourse to build national identity,send out the strongest voice in China,realize emotional resonance,and lead social public opinion.In the process of reversing overseas negative speeches and conveying China 's position,the objective and proactive reports were used to deconstruct the“stereotype” of external opinion on China.The rigid narrative strategy and the all-media matrix dissemination have completed the image of China as a responsible power.Self-shaping.However,the “two micro ends” China-US trade friction report has some problems and needs to be further optimized.The “two micro ends”report of the People's Daily on the Sino-US trade friction report also has implications for the improvement of China's coverage of international economic issues.Innovating the discourse system with audience thinking and telling Chinese stories well withmedia thinking are the directions that mainstream media needs to work hard in the future.
