Design And Realization Of DAB Channel Encoder Input Interface Based On FPGA

Broadcasting is very important in our society and life. As the broadcasting developing,the new and further request has been put forward in exploitation technology,transmission quality and rate of signals. That encourage scientific researchers of broadcasting to update the existing technology continuously for the increasing need of people.In this paper we analyze the deficiencies of the existing interface of digital broadcasting stimulator at broadcasting station,and in according of European Telecommunication Standard ETS300799,an scheme of interface is carried out. In this scheme,codes of ETI(NA,G704) format transmitted from multiplexer are transformed to ETI(NI) standard format codes which correspond to Standard ETS300799 and transmitted to the following channel encoder. Compared with the existing ETI(NI,G703) format,ETI(NA,G704) format has interleaving and RS error protection encoding,which strengthen antijamming and improve quality of program transmitted from studio to broadcasting station, especially when living broadcasting. In this paper,warning message is given out for the error code which can be detected but can not be corrected using RS code whose number of verified codes is odd.The error code can be replaced by other ways which hardly affected the audio quality.And at the same time that saves the resourses and costs.FPGA hardware platform and VHDL hardware description language are used to carry out hardware function but not special chip used.This enable modifying circuit and upgrading to be extremely convenient.Certainly,efficiency of exploiting product is improved and cost is brought down.As a result of simulating by software and proving by hardware,this system has carried out the expected function,and has excellent extension.It economizes hardware materials and has practicality.
