With the high-speed development of video technology (including compression, transmission and storage of video signal) and VLSI, the video monitor system has been widely used in many fields. As the central part of video monitor system, the technology of image grab card has become more and more mature, and there are many kinds of chips that can be used in design. Among them, the image grab card based on PCI bus is the most popular product in the market because of its strength, flexibility and cheapness.In this paper an image grab card is designed based on the analysis of the universal technology. The hardware design of image grab card mainly includes two modules: the image acquisition circuit and the PCI bus interface circuit. SAA7130HL chip of Philips Company is selected as the main chip of the image acquisition module to translate the analogue signal to digital image data. And the PI7C8150B chip of Pericom Corporation is used in the PCI bus interface module to transmit the image data to the computer. Finally the images are displayed on screen.The hardware of the image grab is designed in Protel 99SE. On the basis of thoroughly understanding the character of the chip by the datasheet, we devise the theoretical image. Then taking into account the performance of the antijam and the global distribution of lines, the printed circuit is designed.In sum, this paper implements the design of image grab card based on SAA7130HL and this card provides excellent hardware for image acquisition and transfer. This image grab card has the sky-high practicality and could apply to many image grab fields. |
